- Free: 2 basic embeds, the first 1,000 embed views and the first 100 new subscribers. A one-time allowance rather than a monthly one, with no expiry and no card. After the cap there is a 7-day grace period in which embeds keep working, then they pause until a plan is chosen.
- Starter: $12 a month, or $9 a month billed yearly ($108 a year). 1 landing page, 3 embeds, 1,000 views and 100 new subscribers a month, analytics, advanced embed features, basic customer support.
- Growth: $24 a month, or $20 a month billed yearly ($240 a year). 5 landing pages, 20 embeds, 50,000 views and 1,000 new subscribers a month, custom domain, Zapier and other integrations, priority human support.

## Supascribe compared with Substack's built-in options

- Substack's native subscribe embed is free but cannot be styled, has no analytics, and lands subscribers on Substack's confirmation page rather than a URL the writer chooses; its iframe also misbehaves on Firefox and some mobile layouts. Supascribe's form is styleable, tracked and redirectable.
- Substack has no public API and no embeddable post feed. Supascribe's feed widget renders posts anywhere.
- Substack's landing page is the Welcome page: one per publication, fixed layout, no conversion data. Supascribe pages can run several at once, one per traffic source, each with its own conversion rate and post-signup destination. Substack also charges a one-time $50 to connect a custom domain to a publication.
- Subscriber confirmation: even with double opt-in switched off, Substack's risk filter still asks some addresses to confirm (common addresses, repeated test submissions, addresses that recently joined many newsletters). That is Substack's behaviour and applies to every capture method. Supascribe records the email regardless, so it is never lost.

## Frequently asked questions

- Does Supascribe replace Substack? No. Posts, subscribers and payments stay on Substack. Supascribe adds capture and display tools on sites the writer already controls.
- Is it an official Substack product or partner? No. It is independent and not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Substack Inc.
- Do I need to code? No. Build in the browser and paste a snippet. React and Next.js apps call `window.Supascribe.refreshAll()` after client-side navigation.
- Is it free? Yes to start: the first 1,000 embed views or 100 captured subscribers, whichever comes first, with no expiry and no card.
- Where do captured emails go? To the writer's Substack subscriber list, and to Supascribe's own list, which can be exported as CSV or pushed to other tools with Zapier.
- What if Substack changes something? Supascribe monitors its Substack connection. Captured emails are stored on Supascribe's side either way, so they can always be exported and imported manually.
- Why do some subscribers show "Requires Confirmation"? Substack's risk filter asked them to confirm by email. The status is recorded at capture time and does not update later; the email is captured either way.
- Can I use my own domain? Yes, for landing pages, on the Growth plan and above.
- Does it work with beehiiv, Ghost or Kit newsletters? No. Supascribe is Substack-only.
- What is SubstackAPI? The founder's earlier developer-facing tool at substackapi.com. Its embeds were retired in September 2025; existing users move over at https://supascribe.com/migrate

## What Supascribe does not do

- No A/B testing of embeds or pages.
- No integrations other than Zapier, and the API on Pro.
- No custom form fields beyond the email address.
- It cannot override Substack's confirmation filter or retry a submission Substack rejects.
