Embed Substack on Weebly
Add a Substack subscribe form, feed widget, or popup to your Weebly website using the Embed Code element. Step-by-step guide — works on all plans.
Weebly supports custom HTML through its Embed Code element. Drag it onto your page, paste your Supascribe snippet, and the subscribe form or feed widget appears when you publish.
What You Can Add to Weebly
- Subscribe Form — a customisable email capture form with your brand colours and a redirect after sign-up
- Feed Widget — your latest Substack posts displayed automatically on your Weebly page
- Popup Form — a subscribe popup triggered by exit intent, scroll depth, or time on page
Step 1: Create Your Embed in Supascribe
- Sign up at Supascribe — free to start
- Connect your Substack publication
- Choose your embed type: Subscribe Form or Feed Widget
- Customise the colours, fonts, and button text
- Click Publish to generate your embed code
Your snippet:
<div data-supascribe-embed-id="abc123" data-supascribe-subscribe></div>
<script src="https://js.supascribe.com/v1/loader/example.js" async></script>Step 2: Add the Embed to Weebly
Option A: Embed Code Element (Recommended)
- Open your Weebly site in the editor
- In the Build panel, find the "Embed Code" element
- Drag it onto your page
- Click "Edit Custom HTML"
- Paste your full embed snippet
- Click "Save"
- Publish your site
Option B: Footer Code (Site-wide script loading)
To load the script tag on every page rather than per element:
- In your Weebly dashboard, go to Settings → SEO
- Scroll to the "Footer Code" section
- Add the script tag:
<script src="https://js.supascribe.com/v1/loader/example.js" async></script> - Save
With the script in the footer, use only the embed div (no script tag) in your Embed Code elements.
Step 3: Test It
After publishing, open your Weebly site in an incognito window. The subscribe form should appear where you placed the element. Submit a test email to confirm the subscription is captured in your dashboard.
Weebly-Specific Tips
Adding both a subscribe form and a feed widget
If you want both on the same page, add two separate Embed Code elements. Or combine both divs into one element with a single script tag — both embeds will render from one block.
Redirect subscribers after sign-up
Set a post-subscription redirect URL in your Supascribe embed settings before generating the code. Send new subscribers to a thank you page or lead magnet for a better first impression.
