Embed Substack on Wix

Wix supports custom HTML embeds on all plans. Add an HTML Embed element to any page, paste your Supascribe snippet, and publish. The subscribe form or feed widget renders directly in your Wix layout.

#What You Can Add to Wix

• Subscribe Form — a fully branded email capture form with custom CTA and a redirect after sign-up
• Feed Widget — your latest Substack posts displayed automatically, keeping your Wix site fresh without manual updates
• Popup Form — a subscribe popup triggered by exit intent, scroll depth, or time on page

#Step 1: Create Your Embed in Supascribe

1. Sign up at Supascribe — free to start
2. Connect your Substack publication
3. Choose your embed type: Subscribe Form or Feed Widget
4. Customise the colours, fonts, and button text to match your Wix theme
5. Click Publish to generate your embed code

The embed ID and script URL come pre-filled from your dashboard.

#Step 2: Add the Embed to Wix

#Option A: HTML Embed Element (Recommended for inline placement)

1. Open your Wix site in the editor
2. Click "+" to add an element
3. Search for "HTML" and select "HTML Embed"
4. Click "Enter Code" in the element panel
5. Paste your full embed snippet
6. Click "Update" to save
7. Position the element on your page
8. Publish your site

#Option B: Custom Code (Site-wide script loading)

If you're placing embeds across several pages, loading the script tag site-wide is cleaner than including it in every HTML Embed element.

1. In your Wix dashboard, go to Settings → Custom Code
2. Click "+ Add Custom Code"
3. Paste only the script tag:

4. Set placement to "Body - End"
5. Set to load on "All Pages"
6. Save

With the script loading site-wide, use only the embed div (without the script tag) in your HTML Embed elements.

#Step 3: Test It

After publishing, open your Wix site in an incognito window. The embed should appear in the correct position. Submit a test email and verify the subscription is captured in your Supascribe dashboard.

#Wix-Specific Tips

Sizing the HTML Embed element

Wix wraps HTML Embed elements in a fixed-size container. If your subscribe form looks squashed or cut off, drag the element handles to increase the width or height. The Supascribe embed is responsive within its container.

Redirect subscribers after sign-up

Set a custom redirect URL in your Supascribe embed settings before generating the code. This sends new subscribers to a thank you page, a lead magnet, or your top Substack posts — something Wix's native forms or the basic Substack embed can't do.

Wix Studio

In Wix Studio, find HTML elements in the Add panel under Embed & Social. Paste your full snippet into the HTML element's code editor. The sizing and placement process works the same as in the standard Wix editor.

Mobile layout

After placing the embed, check the mobile view in the Wix editor. HTML Embed elements don't automatically reflow for mobile — adjust the element's size and position in the mobile layout separately from the desktop layout.
